We just took our border collie pup, Charlie, for a consult with Dr. Fitch regarding a persistent lameness. Dr. Fitch was highly recommended by our normal veterinarian. Our consult was very thorough and informative. Dr. Fitch took the time to carefully examine Charlie, explain his findings, answer our questions, and to help us choose the best option for Charlie’s recovery. Dr. Fitch and the surgery manager Nessa took the extra time during their examination to make sure Charlie was comfortable. We are really pleased and know Charlie gave the experience 5 stars too!
Called in this morning since my cat had a vomiting issue because of poisoning and was told that they couldn’t help me and that I had to call poison control to aid my cat. Ended up going in-person, and guess what? They were able to help me and get the information I needed for my cat!
I don’t know why the lady that was on the call with me lied to me about them not having the resources to help, but I felt the unprofessionalism from her specifically. Additionally, the lady who lied to me was there in-person when I entered the clinic. Said employee was also muttering words about how I didn’t need to have come and was shaking her head at me. All of which are none of her business. Needless to say, I felt very disrespected.
The rest of the staff was very nice though, and I could tell that they wanted the best for me and my cat.
I brought my 16 year old, sick cat here. They wanted to hospitalize her for 24 hours and run a bunch of tests that would have amounted to $8k. We declined to put her through all of that, which the vet said was a valid choice, and took her home. The next day, upon asking for a vet to explain something they had found during the visit, I was snottily told the vet could no longer talk to me because we had taken her home, AND the person insinuated I was wrong for taking her home. I asked them to send me a quote if I chose to bring her back for care, which was now magically $13k. I have the paperwork, happy to post screenshots if challenged on this. Anyway, I took her to another emergency vet, which not only had TONS of doctors rather than just one on staff, but also only assessed $3k to have the tests she needed. Happy to pay it, I pay for my cats’ care. In any case, she didn’t survive and has now passed. Now they’re literally harassing me for $7.00 (seven dollars) that somehow got left off the $1800 invoice I PAID IN FULL at the time I declined further treatment and took the cat home. I don’t doubt that the vets are skilled, but the staff is absolutely awful.
They are caring friendly and don’t try to sell you on optional stuff you might need to do like most other Animal Hospitals. They also don’t try n take an arm and a leg from you….just one or the other lol…..good place good people

The staggering cost aside, their treatment seems top notch and they have been extremely good about communicating to me the process my cat will go through, answering my questions, and updating me on my cat’s health during his stay with Beacon. I am left very confident in their skill and their professional attitude puts me at ease.
