Just called. Waited on hold for 5 minutes just for someone to answer and hang up

Pricey compared to other vets and services are getting worse. I have been coming to this location because of the wonderful groomers. There are other vets and animal hospitals that are truly caring for animals.

Updated review: Dr. Hata provides excellent communication and responsiveness. She is the only doctor I can rely on there. She is patient, kind, and informative.

    Second update:

This is regarding Dr. Krause –

After mr visit yesterday, I was never informed about the actual diagnosis of my dog. I often feel very rushed when meeting with Dr. Krause (sp?)

I wanted to know what his actual medical diagnosis was, rather than be told "his ears are bad" by the tech, I am already aware of this and that’s why I brought him.

This is now the second time I am being given medication with just the bottle, and no actual pamphlet or information and I have to specifically ask for dosage instructions, as I’m usually told "just a little in his ear".

My dog, like for many pawrents, is a child and family member to me. The same way a human patient wouldn’t just be brushed off or rushed off without a diagnosis or clear instructions on medications, he shouldn’t either.

I don’t understand what is the purpose of paying a monthly fee when I’m rushed at these visits. My dog suffers from recurring ear infections – which ultimately, need to be checked by a specialist outside of VCA.

Also, it is unfair and deceptive to suddenly start charging for ear examinations when I hadn’t been charged for years.

I can go on and on to tell about the unpleasant experiences I’ve had with Dr. K. Last time she prescribed three different medications because she didn’t necessarily know the issue my dog was having and I was mistakenly sold heart worm medications that my dog didn’t even need. When I called the following day – I was told in so many words "we can’t take it back". It is NOT my responsibility to know the medical terms of each medication. They should and must be explained to a patient. Instead the same assistant/tech simply charged me for all medications – without explaining what they were. She also later responded by saying she had given me the names as if I was supposed to know all the names of the medications and what they are used for.

Very pricey and long wait, the vet bill costed almost twice as much than other places. Appointment visits still have to wait another 30-45 min. after checking in to see vet.
