Dr. Zabetakis diagnosed a problem in my hedgie and gave me some closure. She was thorough and explained everything well. She went above and beyond to calm my fears and help my best pal.
It is not easy to find an exotic vet in general. Nevermind find such a compassionate, capable, honest team. I have been bringing our pets here for almost 2 years now. Yes it is hard to get an appointment fairly quickly. Keep in mind, that there are not many exotics around, and the also have a whole wildlife center in there as well. The staff is so comforting and helpful.
Dr. Mertz is an excellent vet for my Russian tortoise. He is a wealth of information and is clear and definitive as to what needs to be done to care for a Russian. I recommend Dr. Mertz to anyone who needs a vet for their exotic pet.
