Reached out for help withy cat, giving fluids. Usually done by my hubby and I but he was hospitalized. The vet made sure to tell me on the phone during the consult and while in my home that she had "little old ladies" who can do this with no help. Not helpful, condescending and will not use again or recommend to anyone.

    Making veterinary care easier…
No need to worry about carriers and struggling to take your pets to the vet when the vet comes to your house. We have multiple pets at any given time. We like the ease of getting an appointment when we need one . There are no protests, and no panic from our pets (although we generally corral them into a small room before the vet arrives). You will have to hold your pet during exams and vaccinations, so if you’re not comfortable holding them still, a home visit may not be a good option.

Keep in mind a home visit is a great choice when euthanasia is needed. Your pet can be put to sleep in the comfort of home rather than traumatized by a trip to the vet.

If you’re looking for a vet that actually spends time with your pet, this is the one! I plan for 45 minutes to 1.5 hrs.

Where to start. We recently lost our lab with cerebellar hypoplasia. Trips to vet offices were hard, as the excitement really sent her issues into overdrive. So a home visit vet was perfect. She developed seizures later, and then heart failure. Dr Kraus was very supportive all the way, and worked well with the specialists and with the only other vet in town that really had an interest in learning how to deal with her health issues. Learned later that lots of people put their dogs with these issues to sleep at a young age, so Dr Kraus was one of a few who read and got back on "here’s where we are."
Very blunt, no-nonsense manner. I kinda need that sometimes. She took great care of 5 of our dogs over the last 11 years.
