Even though they are busy they are very helpful and show good customer service skills.

They keep you waiting for almost 20 minutes. Sometimes the is sick they make you go somewhere else. You paid money for babies.

My dog is a member since 2020 & we love it, then i enrolled my brother’s dog last year for which i am the caretaker now.

The Staff & Veterinary Doctors are wonderful, but some issues with Banfield overall:

    1. Takes a very long time to be put on hold minimum 20-30mins via phone, why can’t they have another # or chat line to answer members’ questions & concerns-some may be emergencies, even if i leave a message-noone gets back to me so better to wait or call again, & be put on hold again.

    2. App takes forever to book even for a routine vaccine-so best is to call still
    3. Lab samples for testing get lost-i had to bring my other dog’s decal sample like 4-5x ang they keep losing it. So several trips wasted. I would understand if they lose it once, but several times is truly unacceptable. I had several phone calls-some promising me they will call me back-but noone did.

    4. Given different information by staff via phone: new dog’s additional dental or labs can be scheduled or brought in at day of scheduled visit-but when we went there-not possible due to the annual anniversary or not due yet.

    5. They do not check their email: i requested last month my dog’s records be sent to a specialist’s office, followed up 1 wk after-they were not aware. So after my dog is seen (as a new patient takes 2 months to be seen with the Dermatologist), I wanted to request a refill of my dog’s allergy med as Banfield is closer & near my work, so I emailed the derma’s consult/referral copy for the Vets at Banfield a few days ago, but when i called, a receptionist (of course they have not seen my email request still) said my dog still has to come in & be seen by their Vet before they can change the allergy med dosage? I had to argue as that isn’t the specialist’s recommendation weigh more? So why do i need to schedule for my pet to come in? In the end the receptionist said they will ask the Vet about it.

I also work in healthcare-nursing home facilities, & we (interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses. social workers, dietitians, rehab-PT/OT/ST) when refer our patients to specialists, we review & follow the recommendations of specialists when our patients come back with the reports of their consultations outside of our facilities.

So how come it is not the same system, & I am always given different information? I can only imagine other Banfield members & their pets given the same information, & having to waste time, effort & money to go-when if the receptionists are educated well enough by the Banfield Management on how to deal & be on the same page, & not give different answers on the same issues.

I hope Banfield-Pelham will make changes for the better as I had friends with furry family members who already left as they were not really happy with their experiences with this location. I will still give this location a try (due to its proximity to my home & work areas), or I will move my pets to another location that I used before & never had any issues. Thank you.
