1 Review on “Value Pet Clinic”
2 Stars- Despite my irritation and my frustrations expressed to the Vet- Dr. Ames, he was very kind and professional both during my visit and when he called to follow- up with test results.
However, overall experience with Value Pet was sub par. They will tell you they see 17,000 pets a year and that their wait times are all day (4-6 hours), but doesn’t excuse the lack of professionalism at the front desk nor the lack of empathy from the Vet Techs.
The real issue here is the absence of organization and time management. Their processes are non-value added which in my opinion is causing staff burnout and extended wait times which now is resulting in customer service being compromised. Two examples: They had us enter/exit the back of the building (safety precautions because my dog was coughing) but ended up in the front lobby to weigh my dog. Thought that was odd. 2. When waiting on blood work and chest x-rays they wanted us to sit in a room for 40 minutes to get the results. When asked if the course of treatment would change if I waited for the results, vet tech said most likely not. So I suggested to her that we go home and the Vet can give us a call. She agreed and we were on our way. The fact they wanted us to sit there for the blood test seemed odd when they could have gotten us out of there and roomed another animal. How many other people are just sitting in rooms waiting to be helped just to get results? Yikes.
Probably wouldn’t be back again- I think they offer needed services for the community because they are a first come first serve basis (maybe at a discounted rate- I paid $609 for blood work and chest X-ray), however their customer service and overall experience provided doesn’t put them at the top of my list.
Pros- some of the staff were nice. I didn’t wait long at all to be seen. longer in the exam room waiting for not sure what than in the actual waiting room. They were also quick at sending her records.
