I was so pleased with our first visit! I appreciate not only how thorough Dr. Battistella was with both dogs, but also how well she listened to me. I love the checklist with notes that she left for each dog as well. It was refreshing seeing her take the time to do that and I can tell that she really values her patients. She is also funny and very easy to get along with. The clinic was clean and welcoming and we look forward to our next visit!
After taking my dog to another vet that sent him home unsure what was wrong with him I took my Boykin Spaniel to Kowaliga Whole Health. Dr.Josh performed surgery on my pup and saved his life! I will be forever greatful to Josh for the care and compassion he showed towards me and my furry best friend. He is extremely knowledgeable and confident. I highly recommend Dr.Josh and Kowaliga Whole health for all of your vetanary needs.
Recently relocated from Missouri to Alabama with three cats in-tow. We sought an integrative practice, and found a fabulous vet in Dr. Mary Battistella. She and staff are caring, responsive and thorough. I must say that with two of the cats prior to coming to Kowaliga, although they had experienced routine vet care, issues had not received the proper diagnosis – Dr. Battistella not only addressed those but came up with simple solutions resulting in healthier, happier cats. We travel up from Montgomery, and the services and care are well-worth the drive.

my almost 13 year old arthritic pup went for her first acupuncture. Dr B did a good exam and the acupuncture went very smoothly. My girl didn’t even flinch. She’s walking better, even does a bit of running, does not hobble as she did before and seems quite a bit more comfortable. We’ll be returning for our second appointment.
