The staff here is amazing. We spent the winter in Arizona with Chloe, our 18 year old kitty that was diagnosed with diabetes just before our departure from Canada. The team was able to seamlessly take over Chloe’s care, communicating with us and her home Vet. We were always kept up to date as her insulin dosage needed to be adjusted. Other minor health issues due to aging were also addressed.
We highly recommend the caring, professional at the Cat Hospital of Tucson.

“I recently visited a vet clinic and had the pleasure of being attended by an amazing nurse named Kiana. Her skills and knowledge of veterinary care were top-notch and it was evident that she cares deeply about the well-being of all animals. During a blood draw for my cat, Kiana was able to successfully find the vein on the first try, which was a first for us. I am truly grateful for her care and professionalism. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and caring nurse for your furry friend, I highly recommend requesting Kiana at this clinic. Thank you, Kiana, for your fantastic work!”

Dr. Johnston, the new owner of this practice missed a very obvious resorptive lesion in my cat’s tooth, after she specifically said his teeth looked good during his exam. When I called to let them know and to schedule a dental, the vet didn’t believe me until I sent her a picture, and gave me a snarky “sorry I’m not perfect, I wish I was” response. I am a registered veterinary technician (which I had told her), and I should have really picked a new vet right then and there but realizing that everyone makes mistakes, I went ahead and scheduled the dental. When I went to pick him up after the procedure, I was given no pain medications until I asked so I don’t know if they just forgot, or if they weren’t going to give me any. Upon looking at my bill I saw that they charged me for a length of anesthesia time which is far above the industry standard and when I asked to see the anesthesia record to confirm that this was correct, and to see if anything unusual happened I received a lot of attitude and an extremely defensive vm from Dr. Johnston, in which she went on for 2 1/2 minutes about how I am probably “only a veterinary assistant” and I may have had a little bit of experience but probably not much (I’ve had over 12 yrs), and that I have “lack of trust”. Sure enough, they charged me for more anesthesia time than was written on his medical record. I sent an email requesting all my records so I could take my cat elsewhere, and pointed out the discrepancy in my bill, and she had absolutely nothing to say other than “you’re not a good fit for the practice” and no excuse for the falsified invoice. She’s up to some really shady business practices, and is just too rushed and disrespectful. Trust goes both ways, and I would absolutely not recommend this place.
