Our cat was severely injured, the staff saved her life. We are forever thankful we get to enjoy our fur baby being home with us!

On August 20th I brought our 7 year old dog in to be seen. She had been sick for a few days and started getting worse very quickly.

I called ahead to inform them I might need help with getting my dog in since she was big girl. I called when I got there.. and they helped us in and had me go to the front desk.
The office staff was very nice checking us in.

They saw how sick she was and quickly started working on her.

After a while, they pulled us in to a room and told me she was very sick and we needed to decide about options. They were very sweet and caring. They let me take all the time I need to make this very hard decision and even waited for our family to get there and say goodbye.

While saying our goodbyes they wrapped her in a blanket so she wouldn?t be cold and once it was all done they walked us to the garden to put her rock outside.

The staff that night was amazing.

The veterinarian Dr Gorton (?) is VERY knowledgeable, and explained several things we were unaware of; he was professional yet compassionate. Our little rescue spent the night there, part of the time in an oxygen kennel. We sort of gulped at the price but were able to put it on a card, they decided to not do x-rays and another procedure which resulted in a refund. I glad we had the money, don?t know what we would have done if we didn?t have the money to begin with. Mark took out a loan for another procedure at another veterinary clinic. And we have pet insurance. We?ll do whatever we can to help her and After Hours staff do the same.

I have taken 4 of my pets there throughout the years. This recent visit the first thing the receptionist said was ? are you prepared to leave a $1000 deposit ?. That should not be said to any client. I saw 2 people leave after hearing that statement! It?s not good for their business. My response was no deposit thank you. I just want an evaluation and we can go from there. So after my cat was evaluated which was a $200 cost. A little high but doable since they are available after hours and that comes at a hefty price. I was given a treatment plan. That treatment plan was $1050. That included blood work, xrays and other things. I politely said no thanks but I will get the medication needed. Which in her case was antibiotics, pain meds and anti inflammatory. They gave her meds there and I took some home with me. The staff was very friendly. My cat was better after just a few hours of being there. I would have left 5 stars but that statement made me feel like their goal is to get a minimum of 1 grand from each client regardless of the condition of the pets. Not good for business at all! I paid $500 in total. 200 for the evaluation and 300 for the medicine. Again, the staff was great, very friendly and the Vet was very knowledgeable!
