We recently were gifted with an adorable male Dorkie pup, named Oscar. He was 9 weeks at the time and due for some shots. Dr. Ayo Akande & his staff weighed, examined and gave our new family member, Oscar his shots. The vet confirmed he had a hernia and provided excellent options on how to treat and correct this birth defect. The Dr. even offered referrals to other area vet experts. Every staff member was polite, kind, helpful and made our visit ?great?. They also saw our older female Dachshund, Coco. We had been using a large vet clinic in Jax, but are now making a change to Bartram Park Animal Hospital for Oscar and Coco. If you are looking for a new vet or considering a change, try this team of animal professionals. Their prices are reasonable, but not outrageous.

I recently brought my cat to Bartram Park Animal Hospital after he rubbing up against an easter lily (I was not aware they were toxic to cats at the time) and was not eating. The vet anticipated that my cat would need to stay for 3 days and charged me upfront for his stay (approx. $1000). Fortunately my cat started acting normal again after 2 days. However, when I requested a refund for the extra day my cat didn’t need to stay, the vet refused. I was charged for 3 days of Hospitalization and nurse care, and only used 2 of the days. Seems very straightforward that they would refund that… Not the case.

In the end, it was only about $70 that should have been refunded. Not a great deal in the grand scheme of things when my total bill was right at $1000, but its just not good business practice to overcharge and then not refund. Will not be going back. Hope that $70 was worth it.

We have no complaints about Dr. Akande and his wonderful staff at BPAH. We have taken our dog Rouxby there since she was a puppy 5 years ago largely because it was close to our house and we take our newest addition, Ozzie, there as well, despite living 40 minutes across town now. They’ve always been exceptional for your routine visits, boosters, etc but this last week especially. Our Rouxby girl just wasn’t feeling right and the care they took of her for 2 full days was exceptional. They were gracious with their updates to us and kept us in the loop on how she was doing and what prognosis and treatment looked like. We were lucky she just had a bit of a bad belly but the experience reinforced for me that continuing to go there despite having moved across town, with there being other vets closer, was the right choice for our family and our dogs. We will be with Bartram Park Animal Hospital as long as we have pets!

Came here a few weeks ago to get a cyst examined. I came back to get the cyst drained but they want to charge me another vet fee when it should have been drained the first time I got it checked out… They just want your money.
