Could not recommend Blue Pearl more for critical care of your pet! I wish I had as much confidence in my human doctors! Dr. Quina is my hero!
We took our chihuahua as our other vet said they didn’t do the test that we needed and most vest that did tests was like 2 months out with booking appointments !. They booked us in pretty quick in fact 2 weeks instead of 2 months !. The building is spotless inside and around it outside , in fact it’s the cleanest vet I’ve been in !. The staff and our vet doctor was really nice , professional and friendly and explained everything and listened to what I said and asked me if I had any questions !. Our baby was there for like 5 hours with test and things , we still have to go back and hopefully we figure out what’s going on!. The price isn’t outrageous either , it’s not much difference in any other vet and blue Pearl are like top if pet service and specialty , its explained to you before you go ahead with the treatment !. I’m not flush with money but for your fur baby being seen and treated by professional , friendly and caring people it’s well worth it !.
My cat was in renal failure and my vet recommended bringing him either to Blue Pearl or UF in Gainesville. Because Blue Pearl is much closer to my home, they were my first choice. When I called to ask about emergency availability, the man I spoke to was rude and condescending.
He told me they were booking out until June if I needed to make an appointment. I reiterated that it was an emergency and my cat wouldn’t be alive in June. He told me I could try to call back in the morning at 7am to claim an emergency spot, but that there was nothing else he could do. I asked if he could reserve me an emergency spot the next day instead of making me attempt to get my cat in the next morning, and he said in his condescending voice that wasn’t possible because in that case that would just be a regular appointment and “like he said before they are booking out until June”.
Needless to say I hung up and called UF. It was like night and day. The woman at UF was kind and empathetic, and she assured me they would fit my cat right in and have everything he needed ready. UF was amazing and surprisingly affordable. My cat is now doing very well and home. I will forever be grateful to them.
If you are looking at these reviews because your animal is also sick and needs emergency care: don’t waste your time with Blue Pearl. They clearly don’t care about you or your pet. Take them to UF.
