We came to St. Augustine for vacation and I brought my two dogs with me. Within 30 minutes, my older, visually impaired dog walked right into the pool. After that he was having trouble going to the bathroom and had me very concerned. He’s normally a happy-go-lucky fluff ball, but he was keeping his tail down, which equals a sad boy. I debated on whether it was worth it or not to take him to the vet, but I knew I’d have a hard time enjoying the trip if I was worried about him. I made an appointment at AWC, show up, and turns out I made the appointment for the wrong day. The staff was SO kind and took a look at my pup anyway. They treated him gently and took great care of him. Turns out the stress of traveling and taking an unexpected dip in the pool all in one day traumatized him a little more than I thought. They gave me some food and meds to help ease his tummy and now we can both enjoy the rest of our vacation. Thank you guys so much!!

I needed a vet fast in st Augustine and animal wellness stood out to me in my search… when I called the receptionist who answered was just so kind and understanding of my situation and showed empathy for my fur baby Lily! Just really quickly what brought us to the office in the first place was that Lily was acting very lethargic. A little bit of labored breathing, but not her normal self which is typically high energy all the time. She’s a lab staff mix if that gives you an idea but she’s just the sweetest pupp you’d ever meet. So I let them know before I brought her in that she sometimes wasn’t great around other dogs, and they were very accommodating to our needs for Lily. They. Had it set up where we could bring her in and go straight into the room which was awesome and when the vet tech Holly came in Lily perked right up and wanted to say hello and immediately just showed love and affection towards Holly she was awesome at getting our information and answering any questions we had concerning Lily And told us she would return soon with the vet Dr. Jones when Dr. Jones entered the room Lily had literally ❤️ floating all around her head. I think it was love at first sight not only for a lily, but for Dr. Jones as well and , so they examine the Lily, and again answered , any questions and concerns that we had? She was diagnosed with a UTI which I would’ve never ever guessed. She has overgrown skin where it gets. The urine caught in there sometimes and Lily went to the vet and has been to the vet very many times for a routine care since I’ve gotten her at six weeks old and no one has ever told us this before so we were able to get a prescription of antibiotics. We ran some tests and got her on some preventative, and we found our new furever vet! ❤️❤️
