A quick appointment was made with the urgent care department. Immediate initial diagnostic procedures were done to stabilize my cat’s condition.
The long list of low reviews tells it all. Terrible experience in almost every regard. Unprofessional and unfriendly to say the least. Never met nor spoke with the "specialist." Those I did speak with never seemed to know the most basic information about my pet’s care. I received critical misinformation that caused me to miss work. It also caused our experience to be way more traumatic than it needed to be. They never followed up to see how my pet was doing after spending weeks in their care. I attempted to visit my pet during visiting hours and felt extremely unwelcome. Missed several days of work due to miscommunications by staff. I informed the office manager that responds to these reviews and her only response was a thank you for my positive feedback. That seemed more like a slap in the face than anything else. Before I leave a bad review, I make every attempt to contact a business to resolve an issue. This was a traumatic experience way beyond what it already was. I highly urge you to read the negative reviews. My experience was very similar to others. In 40 years of taking pets to receive veterinary care, I have never experienced anything like this. 0/5. Luckily, my pet got better after we left CVS and were able to get good care.
I had a sick little fellow on a Sunday. I was worried and nervous about how to get care on a weekend. A friend suggested Capital Veterinary Specialists. I was happy to find a place that was open. We were welcomed with open arms. The staff and Dr. were kind and thoughtful. They treated my Lil’ Shady dog like they knew him and cared about him. I was never left waiting or wondering what was happening. The vet took time to explain to me what was wrong and gave options as to how to help him. She did not pressure me to spend money we didn’t have. She provided a solution and made a plan on next steps if needed. The place is beautiful and I was afraid it would be very expensive but the price was in line with my regular vet. I loved the people and the place and the best part is that Lil’ Shady is all better!
