This post has been a long time coming. I hardly ever write reviews, but I do believe it’s my duty to warn others of Dr. Pat, or “Patty” as she likes to be referred to. I took my dog (jack Russell/Chihuahua mix), he had just been diagnosed with diabetes and Cushing’s Disease. Obviously, a very overwhelming time, and this was right at the peak of COVID (Sept. 2020). I had just moved to the area and was desperately searching for the right vet to take him. Boy, was I wrong in choosing Patty. Not only did she charge about $400 each week to do glucose curves (new vet said it was ridiculous after the first few times- but I can respect due diligence). That wasn’t happening. She prescribed my dog vetoryl for his cushings. Increasing the dose each visit. Eventually, she prescribed my 12 lb dog vetroyl 10 mgs, 2x a day.
He had a stroke.
I immediately removed him from her care but was so distraught over the situation to even make this post or seek legal counsel. I was in grad school and going through a lot in my personal life. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I am happy to report that despite Dr. Pat’s care, my dog, Rocco, is still thriving. He’s lost his vision a bit, but with the right medical care and a loving home- so much is possible.
UPDATE: To respond to owner below- Like I said, I can respect due diligence, however, that isn’t what happened. Unfortunately the animal hospital in Wellington I had to take him to never received his records, despite several request. You never sent them. And yes, you did send some records to his vet in Naples, however you took dates out. I am floored that your clinic tampered with medical records.
I have zero reason to make this up or spend my time defending this. I lost his paper records in a folder when I moved and frankly I didn’t think a veterinary clinic would do such a thing. My goal is really to warn others.
Please please find better for your family members.
I just wanna take the time to thank the entire team for everything you did for my pup. I love this location and this is the only place I’m going to take my pets. Thank you so much I love this team.
