There good and reasonable
I took my Great Dane Zekie there in December before he turned 2 for gold bead implant surgery on his Cervical spine Tuesday December 27 for Wobblers Syndrome. He had informed me via phone he could do surgery without XRays or other diagnostic testing. First and foremost I was appalled when I got to facility at 8am after driving 3 hours. There were dogs barking like crazy that we could hear from the parking lot and once we got in it was quite disgusting. Should have left at that point. Was dirty, runned down and smelled horrible. Dr Durkes never introduced himself, basically had us sign consent and took my boy back. Upon picking him up, his entire spine was shaved. Dr Durkes put gold beads from cervical spine through his Lumbar spine and never called me with an update. Needless to say I was in complete shock. When I asked him how he decided to do his entire spine his response was, by the amount of blood…hmmm…No discharge instructions except keep neck support dry for three weeks and discontinue all previous meds immediately. Not to mention the price doubled and I had to pay in full. I would not recommend him to anyone. Zekie is worse and his back is crooked and swayed. On multiple meds including Gabapentin, Amantadine, Prednisone, CBC and supplements. I’m approaching the decision no one wants to make. If he continues to deteriorate it will be time. Just my opinion from my experience….
