I brought my cat to be spayed on a Wednesday. After the surgery, they say she look a little longer than expected to wake up from anesthesia, and they wanted to monitor her overnight. We picked her up on Thursday, and they say all is well, if she shows no interested in food for a day or two not to worry, anything past and let them know. She was very slow and not eating, slowly started to eat/drink on Sunday, but still not moving well at all. We call them on Monday at 11 a.m., no one answers. We get a call back in the afternoon, express our concerns, and are told that there is nothing they can do, and to call back in the morning to see if they can fit her in the next day. Our cat passed away early that Tuesday morning, and we found her at 8 a.m. After reaching out to them later that day, the visit was refunded to cover cremation costs, and many apologies by the manager of the Heritage location, but nothing makes up for the loss of our cat. We were told on the phone when speaking to her that the information we gave the person that called us Monday afternoon was never relayed to the vet, and they have afterhours services that could have been done that Monday for her. We don’t know fully what caused it or if she could have been saved on Monday, but there was no effort on their end to help her. She was the healthiest cat before the spay, and not even two years old. They also had complications with my GSD when she was spayed almost a year ago. I have had many cats/dogs in my life, and have never had an issue with a spay/neuter. The only two I have brought here have both had issues, one causing us the loss of our sweet cat. Anyone looking for a new Vet, I do not recommend the Heritage locations. If you are there, make sure Dr. Trevor is the one working with you.
