I really, really wanted to like the Cat Clinic of Lawrence, and I am super bummer writing this. The doctors and their staff are crazy attentive and kind to your cats, but that attentiveness ends the moment you walk out of their office. Last week was the third instance where I have had to wait more than a reasonable amount of time to get a response to a time-sensitive issue. My cat is elderly with an active respiratory infection. They are on medications (again) prescribed by the provider, but they aren’t getting better. I called last Tuesday to ask the provider if she needed to come back in, wait additional time on her medications, and to address additional concerning symptoms noticed.
I understand this business isn’t open on Wednesdays, and my cat isn’t your only priority. I really do, but I waited until Friday mid-morning to give you ample time to address my query. You advised that morning that you would walk to the provider, resolve, and call back. This is a patterned response that occurred the last time I called and was met with a similar breakdown in response time. Only this time, you didn’t finally call or text a resolution, you blew the issue off again. This pattern of inattentive communication isn’t conducive to time-sensitive issues, and we must move on.
Cat Clinic, I am not sure if the recovery from covid-19 is still overwhelming you or what, but ultimately my pet shouldn’t have to suffer for it. I wish you the best and hope your team takes active steps towards better communication with pet owners.
Dr. O and the other staff are friendly and helpful. They take their time to talk about my fur baby. I have always felt listened to and I highly recommend the Cat Clinic.

Cat Clinic of Lawrence has been around for decades and I’m so glad we take our cat here. It sounds really basic but because they only see and treat cats, they have a passion for cats and it really shows in every interaction and everything they do. My cat has a tooth cleaning and extraction soon and I am confident about her receiving anesthesia because day in and day out for years, they have been working with the specifics of feline health. And their pricing is transparent and reasonable. We have price compared before and the Cat Clinic has never been the pricier option. The staff is friendly and very helpful as well. We love them!
I have been traveling with my cats and have taken them to a number of vet offices and this was by far their favorite. The atmosphere is calm, organized, and friendly.
