    The most important thing for other pet owners to know *** DR FELDMAN DID NOT TELL US when Judo reached end stage kidney disease and OUR SENIOR DOG NEEDED END OF LIFE CARE***

    JUDO?s DEATH would have been a PAINFUL SURPRISE if had we not sought out a care from a Non-VCA Vet ? which improved the quality and length of his life.

    I regret ever trusting Dr. Feldman and the entire VA Brookline Staff with the care and well being of my Judo. As the person responsible for Judo?s care and wellbeing I feel sad, and guilty, and angry for trusting VCA-BROOKLINE Staff and FAILING to PROVIDE JUDO with ADEQUATE veterinary CARE.

    After taking Judo to a Non-VCA Vet, I now know that I expressed concern about my senior dog to VCA Brookline staff and DR FELDMAN they IGNORED RED FLAGS instead of having him evaluated for basic veterinary care.

    [June?22 – August?22] I called VCA Brookline multiple times expressionist concern about Judo showing signs of lethargy, intermittent vomiting, and NOT DRINKING or EATING at times.
    Dr. Feldman and VCA Brookline Veterinary Technicians dismissed my concerns by saying:
    ?He?s an old dog, and the summer heat is hitting him extra hard this year. Just try to get him to drink more water?
    I knew my Judo was not okay ? AFTER BEING DISREGARDED BY VCA STAFF ? made an appointment with a Non-VCA Vet Specialist. The waitlist was very long, and Judo wasn?t seen until October?22.

    The Non-VCA Vet IMMEDIATELY KNEW JUDO was very ill and NEEDED TO BE HOSPITALIZED to be treated for CRONIC DEHYDRATION and VOMITING.

    From the New Vet I learned that during Judo?s August?22 physical
    (1) DR FELDMAN actively WITHHELD DETAILS of the PROGRESSION of JUDO?s Chronic Kidney DISEASE ? notably when Judo?s labs indicated that he reached End Stage Kidney Disease;

    (2) being uninformed PREVENTED me from making WELL INFORMED DECISIONS about Judo?s care and well being;

    (3) DR FELDMAN FAILED TO DIAGNOSE a very symptomatic Judo with PANCREATITIS;

    (4) DR FELDMAN FAILED to TREAT Judo?s KIDNEY DISEASE according to professional guidelines: [1]Provide adequate and appropriate nutritional support [2] Slow the disease’s progression with renoprotective therapy [3] Correct fluid deficits and excesses, acid-base imbalance, and electrolyte abnormalities [4] Ameliorate clinical signs of chronic kidney disease.

    It?s amazing that Judo lived with pancreatitis for months, and miracle that Judo continued to go on adventures while maintaining a very friendly and gentile disposition. If there?s a happy ending, it?s that ? DESPITE DR FELDMAN LACK OF EFFORT ? Judo made a full recovery from Pancreatitis AND shared a very special Xmas and NYE?23 with his family.

    We love VCA Brookline Animal Hospital and Dr Groper. We?ve gone 30+ years and had always had Dr Groper. He was always so caring and direct about all our pets issues. As we?ve gone through different pets with them we have appreciate their caring attitude even at the times that are difficult and sad as when it?s time to let go. Thank you VCA BAH and Dr Groper. They charge me $50 for five dollars worth of medication.
    As an out of towner in need of medication for my dog, I felt they took advantage of the situation.
