We brought our dog here for emergency care. Everyone was very kind and helpful. It was late at night but our dog was seen quickly. Unfortunately, we weren’t given great news, but the doctor was very patient and informative when explaining the situation and possible outcomes.
They very quickly stabilized our dog and had us on our way to a different hospital where our dog would be able to undergo emergency surgery. They informed the hospital of everything they needed to know ahead of time so they were able to operate quickly once we arrived.
I brought my dog here for Learn to train your dog level 2 with Liz F. The structure of the class is great and Liz is very knowledgable. Both my pup and I had a lot of fun.
I have unfortunately had to bring my cat here three times now… MSPCA Angell West saved his life the first time, and they have always been helpful and professional. They have also been able to accurately diagnose two serious health problems in my cat. The other positives: their pharmacy is quick and easy to use, and most of the vets here are awesome, especially Dr. Peck. They call to follow up with you, send emails/photos/texts, and really care about the animals. Dr. Iden sprayed “Feliway” and provided soft blankets for my kitty, also.
I agree with others that they’re expensive, but actually they are less expensive than the VEG locations, which cost me double when my cat had to stay overnight!! My main gripes about this location would be the front desk staff is usually either rude, sarcastic, or snarky, and the initial “fee” for an exam is high, and has since increased to $215 before anything is done… I also wish they would allow you to visit your pet in the back, which one of the vets FINALLY allowed me to do this most recent time. The previous two times I was there, I was not allowed to see my cat and I waited for a very long time alone in the waiting room, worrying about him. Overall, I would recommend MSPCA Angell West if you have an emergency and need their services.
