A bit on the expensive side but the best in the area
Was visiting the area when my puppy jumped out of my car (not moving) window and broke his leg. Called Meyer vet as it was the closest and had good reviews. We waited in the lobby for over 45 minutes while my dog’s leg was bent in an unnatural way while people came and went. Once they got us in, the vet informed me that his leg was broken “bad” and in multiple places. She went on to inform that the break might not be fixable that if it was they would have to refer me out because they couldn’t do it there but that it would be “too expensive.” She said my other option was to amputate the leg and THAT they could do in house. Before asking me what I wanted, she started encouraging taking his leg by sharing personal stories of how good the quality of life is her three legged dog is… I just got back from the surgery and the surgeon said it was a “basic break” that was clean and in one spot. The surgery was easy and he is expected to make a 100% full recovery. Get a second opinion before blindly trusting this vet! Staff were friendly but I’d NEVER go back!
The doctors are so experienced and friendly, go out of the way to make the environment safe for the animals.
Had to take my dog in for emergency care late Saturday on a holiday weekend.
We hard to put her down. The vet was amazing, so caring got on the floor and talked to her like she know her for ever (first time there). she let we spend as much time
as we wanted too with my baby.
