I brought my cat in the ER in 2023 with an open wound on his neck. My cat is an outdoor/indoor cat, which the clinic was informed. The clinic cleaned up his wound and sent him home. We were sent home without a bandage or covering of any kind. We also were not given an e collar. One day later we were back at it with an even bigger hole in my cat’s neck. Instead of going back to this clinic I used my regular veterinary clinic and they fixed him up with stitches. A vet clinic that teaches how to care for animals should know that an animal will be an animal and when a wound is healing it will itch. Why we were sent home without any protection for this $800 visit we ended up spending an additional $600 to fix an issue that should have been addressed on day 1.
My best friend just experienced a similar situation with this place for a urinary blockage her cat was dealing with. She was originally told cats usually spend 3 days here for this issue but her cat "pulled out his catheter" and was picked up after one day. Ridiculous. $800 later and another vet visit with her regular doctor she was even more out of pocket due to an euthanasia.
I want to give this clinic the benefit of the doubt but this is ridiculous. It seems like this is a clinic that is just after the dollar. Hold yourself accountable and treat these families and their pets with the way you would expect. Don’t expect me to spend $800 with you knowing you could have gone above and beyond to resolve the issue instead of gas lighting us till our bigger issue arises.
