I legally adopted a pet from a private owner (we have an affidavit) and I was provided with the bulk of his paperwork, minus a few documents. I went to this office this morning (because this is where he has received all of his care) with all the paperwork, I have on him including his welping information and immunizations. The clerk at the desk refused to help me. She told me I would have to return with the previous owner (which is impossible) and that the owner calling to affirm and provide information only they would know wasn’t sufficient. Now I can’t get my dog enrolled in doggy daycare, or groomed because I don’t have his paperwork. I’m not getting duplicate immunizations because it’s too costly and it’s inhumane. Also its unnecessary, not to mention hard on the dog’s organs. This has been nightmarish to say at the least and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else come here. I also need his microchip to be updated. After speaking to a supervisor in the call center to obtain only the record, I went back into the office (after sitting in my car on the phone with my dog) and tried to set up an appointment. The same clerk with the nasty attitude refused me the option to schedule. When I asked for a manger she denied me again and told me to come back tomorrow to speak to a manger. I live 35 minutes away. I don’t have gas to waste for another potential empty trip. So I’m driving home fuming mad and 5 minutes later lo and behold someone from the office calls me and now magically it can be done. I shouldn’t have had to waste 1.5 hour of my day and cry and scream after asking nicely several times to get my dog updated shots and updated records when I have AN AFFIDAVIT and the previous owner has verified everything twice over. Wednesday will be our first and last appointment. I just want to get his complete file before I take my business elsewhere.
