My dog Sonic was referred to Dr. Clemans in internal medicine due to some mystery chronic health issues. She did every test in the book to figure out exactly what was going on, he ended up needing surgery and the team of Morgan and Dr. Meyer were absolutely fantastic – explained everything, were super kind, I felt so comfortable with my buddy being taken care of with them. My rescue is scared of everything and hates being away from me but literally would run and not look back when he was taken to be examined with them he loved it so much! I wouldn?t hesitate to bring my dog back anytime. We?ve also utilized the ER due to an unrelated bout of stomach issues that turned out to be pancreatitis. It was initially overlooked by our family vet as just run of the mill stomach upset, but I still had a feeling something was wrong and because the folks at VCA were so diligent with getting him all the tests just in case, we caught it early and saved him from some serious potential harm (or even death). I know some folks have commented that it?s expensive which it is as a specialty/emergency hospital, but in my experience they really do everything possible to take care of your pet as the highest priority. I also would highly recommend looking into pet insurance because it can save you thousands of dollars and a lot of stress! Overall, fantastic experience and would recommend them to anyone.

This place is a joke why to costly. I spent almost 700 dollars the first day I had to bring my dog. And three days later I spent another 3800 3 days later .still no answer on the diagnosis .

Our cat had eaten a part of a poisonous plant (A peace lily) we had no idea if she had puked it up, or initially ate it at all. So our primary vet reccomended bringing her in to get induced vommitting and some medication to be cautious. All other experiences here have been okay at best, but this patricular experience, they have had her in the back for over an hour, and have done nothing but a basic exam. They then come into the room, with a 6000+ dollar treatment plan, asking me if I would like to proceed, which I cannot afford by any means. The lily can cause rapid damage, and instead of getting a consent to atleast administer basic treatment like the emesis, they waited and only after consulting with our primary vet, Gave us a different treatment option that still cost 700 dollars. We understand the gravity of the situation, and know there are gold standard treatment plans, but the fact I had been waiting well over an hour, and them not even bring a basic, immediate treatment plan, is ridiculous. The tone as well when, I turned down their 3 days, in clinic treatment I received, made me feel terrible, like I am the worst pet owner possible.

The office is beautiful and professional. Definitely high end. Greeted quickly and treated right away through triage. I know it was a weekend and after hours and they there is a certain level of skill needing paid for. However our visit was more about what we could pay then actually caring for a critically I’ll animal. We had 600 to 1000 dollars but just seeing our dog would be 600-900 and another 550 for tests plus treatment. I feel like because I didn’t have several thousand dollars on hand I wasn’t truly listened to. After presenting all the evidence for onion toxicity we were given meds for an upset tummy and sent on our way after paying 400$. I found another 911 vet who ran the tests confirming onion toxicity, and did 911 intervention. With an over night stay blood typing, lining up a donor dog,IV therapy and follow up visits and injections we pd $400. The fact is that I would have pd 5,000dollars to save my dog but needed 24hrs to move money around and in the middle of the night on the weekend that’s hard, but they didn’t seem to care. They were kind, but it really felt like it was about the money.

Front desk supervisor was a rock star getting everyone checked in. Kind and genuine with her concern. Vets are knowledgeable and explained a very complicated diagnosis with honesty, heart and professionalism. We are so grateful for them. This is a hard job with long hours.
