Dr. Sawyer and her team at Fieldstone took great care of my senior cats Toby & Lily. She answered all my questions and handled my cats very gently. Thank you!!! Highly recommend!

The kind, calm, humane manner of business at Fieldstone is excellent. I am delighted to have found them after using another clinic for 10 years. Dr. Sawyer is very patient and gentle with my shy cat, and very thorough and down-to-earth with her diagnoses and explanations.
The pricing is reasonable and the office is open until 6PM which I find very helpful. I give Fieldstone the highest recommendation.

When I first moved to the area they were very good. Dr. Sawyer especially seemed to genuinely care. That was two years ago.

Now I find the office/tech staff to be very rude and condescending – and that’s if I can actually talk with a person. When I leave a message I’m lucky if they return the call in a week.
When I need an appointment they’re unwilling to work with me – it’s either take what they have or leave it. And that’s true even when picking up my pet after dental work. It was "pick him up at 4:20", and that was that. When I asked if I could come earlier (like 3 or 3:30, they said "can’t you make 4:20?" Jeeze. Rude.)

They’ve told me that they’re very short handed, and I can sympathize with that, but that isn’t a reason to treat their patients (who are paying top dollar for their services) with disrespect.

Additionally, they don’t want to answer questions – or I should say any time I have a question, they don’t want any discussion to go along with their answer. I just had my cat’s teeth cleaned and it cost me over $600. (Coincidentally I had my own teeth cleaned today and the cost was $305. – Go figure.) When I checked out and reviewed my cat’s records, his weight was wrong and his age was wrong. Such sloppy admin work doesn’t give me a warm fuzzy about their level of caring.

It really pains me to write this but, initially, our experience wasn’t great. We moved to NH from VT last July and were on wait lists for months. At one point, things with our pup were getting worse and I left a voicemail and emailed a few vets, including Fieldstone – never heard back from them.

Then, lo and behold, we got a call that they could take us as new patients. On our first visit, I called from the parking lot as instructed and sat in the car for an hour. In February. In New Hampshire. I had to call to make sure they hadn’t forgotten about us. We sat in the car and froze. For an hour!

Our initial visits were great with Dr. Stanley. See got down on the floor with our dog and really connected with him and tried to help us figure out what was going on.

We never did. Through X-rays and ECGs, Dr. Stanley was awesome. And then she left. We worked with Dr. Sawyer over the phone and via email, adjusting meds, etc.

Then, one morning, we awoke one Saturday morning to our best friend, dead on the floor.

I emailed Fieldstone and told them he had passed. They were closed. I got that but we didn’t hear from them until the end of the 2nd business day after they reopened and it was very curt "sorry for your loss" email. I would’ve expected a call from the vet asking for more info. If not to just make us feel better but maybe to ask questions and find out what happened – maybe they could learn something that would help them with another patient. Nothing.

I even emailed them back a couple weeks later saying as much and still – crickets!

This lack of compassion and bedside manner is why I would not take another pet to them. The hurt they caused stings longer than the loss of our beloved buddy.
