The doctors and staff are terrific. They care about their patients. They have always taken great care of my cats and show true concern for my animals and also for me.
Overall this office is not very accommodating for its customers and furry patients. We just recently adopted a puppy and found this local vet via some research. This vet is great for wellness care when you are able to make an appointment in advance. Beware though, with the nature of the unpredictability with your fur babies health, this office will be almost impossible to assist you in those times of need. The office hours and monthly closures are not accommodating and prove to be very difficult to be seen. Even if your time of need aligns with one of their days where they are open, there is no guarantee you can be seen.
When you are seen, you may or may not speak to the Vet directly and will not get to accompany your pet. Only one person is allowed in the waiting area at time for "covid precautions", despite the fact they schedule everyone in advance and only allow one appointment in at a time. The overall perception of my experience thus far is they seek to set rules and policies that are out of touch with the needs of their customers. I understand the need to follow certain policies to help a business operate smoothly, but Bayonne Animal Hospital seems to make their rules to favor their needs over the needs of their customer base.
Update: I was able to speak with the Office Manager from Bayonne Animal Hospital. She handled the situation very professionally and reviewed my concerns and provided clarity on certain items. I am happy to have had the staff reach out and keep my pets care in the forefront of their mind and squeeze me into one of their sister locations that day. Should you need help or have concerns I feel comfortable knowing now that the staff will ensure to provide you with the assistance when you need it.
Absolutely terrible … I brought my cat in because she grew 2 red spots on her skin that became liesures. They told me it was due to a flea bite and gave me a cream that doesn’t work . I came back again and they gave me a spray this time which also did not work. I grew tired of this because I was being charged for medication that wasn’t doing a thing and I complained to one of the employees who gave me a bad attitude and was aggressive towards me. I then chose to go to the Vet downtown on Broadway and they immediately told me it was due to allergy , gave her 2 shots , and an ointment . Now my cat is showing improvement. I DO NOT recommend going to this vet .
Took my Rottweiler Tyson to his first visit a few days ago and it was great. Staff was friendly and showed tyson so much love. The visit was quick, got the meds he needed and everything was explained.
I should’ve wrote this a while ago my cat was a patient there (Flaco) ..long story short Flaco had a lump the doctor took an xray said that the lump was nothing to worry about ..3 months later I had to put him down because the lump got big and uncomfortable for him and while going to take him for one of his appointments I slipped on ice and got really hurt myself I told the front desk and they just have me a band aid and the crate my cat was in broke while my cat was inside of it . They charged me an arm and leg for a false diagnosis and meds. They gave me a used cat crate with a bill . I will never come back to them . My cat could’ve survived with proper care . Like I said I should’ve left this along time ago.
