This is THE BEST Vet I’ve Ever been to in my life, and that’s including living in multiple states and going through quite a bit with a lot of different pets. They are OUTSTANDING at this facility, from the front desk to the vet techs to the veterinarians. All the staff is really what someone would and should hope for. I’m VERY Happy with this veterinary location and the people that work there. I would highly suggest this place to ANYONE even if you don’t live in Huntington. Thank you all that work there, you’ve helped me and my pup Luke so much and we’re very grateful that we had all of you in our lives. ? ?? ?

We took our cat, Floppy, here for the first time and we couldn’t be happier! The vet and staff were wonderful. Maggie from the front desk was super friendly and helpful! I feel good knowing my pet is in good, caring hands here!

HORRIBLE. Too Many Reasons Why. Dr. Denise Zeichner-Tamayo deliberately did NOT humanely euthanize my dying cat, Dory. Unconscionable. 2) Instead Dr. Zeichner had my cat endure a slow death and cruelly gave my fragile weak cat a shameful steroid injection. Awful. A truly vicious evil way to treat a dying animal. Unacceptable. 3) Dr. Zeichner as a licensed vet was supposed to try to save my stroke/seizure stricken cat ? and when that was not possible after IV hydration, then humanely euthanize Dory. 4) Denise Zeichner showed no remorse. After my beloved cat died, I said I regret not being able to bring her in 2 days earlier since Dr. took day off. Dr. Zeichner shook her head, smiled brightly and said ?She would?ve never survived the steroid shot!? So in Dr. Zeichner?s glee, she let me know. Truly brutal and sadistic. After she said this, I assumed she didn?t give steroid to Dory, but later I checked invoice and it incl. steroid. I emailed Dr. Zeichner as to why she did this. She never respond. 5) Dr. Zeichner betrayed the trust I placed in her as a veterinarian. 6) About 20 min. after Dory died, Dr. Zeichner smiled and said ?Oh, well, maybe you?ll get another kitty from a shelter.? Rude and callous. It showed how little regard Dr. Zeichner had for my pet and myself the owner. 7) My cat was limp and fragile when I brought her in. When Dory couldn?t recover after IV hydration, Dr. Zeichner had a duty to explain and discuss humanely euthanizing my cat to relieve suffering. But Dr. Zeichner never did. 8) Instead, Dr. Zeichner forced my stretched out limp cat into a propped up position to DIE SLOWLY and STRUGGLE WITH A STEROID SHOT. 9) The cruelty began two days earlier, when Dr. Zeichner delayed treating my cat when she was due for her hydration as well as anti-vomiting injection, etc.. Dr. Zeichner suspiciously took the day off and next day her office was closed! 10) My cat?s condition deteriorated. Still Denise Zeichner wouldn?t come in to treat Dory nor refer my cat to another vet or the ER despite my distressed phone calls and emails to her on both days. Very cruel. 11) Instead Dr. Zeichner did a 180 degree turn and told me not to worry about Dory?s vomiting b/c ?she still retains some of nutrients?! 12) Next day Dr. Zeichner emailed harmful instruction to give baby food to my cat. When I fed my cat it, she painfully threw up because Dr. didn?t give the anti-vomiting injection. 12) Then Dr. Zeichner falsely assured me by email that my critical cat going 2 days without food (and vomiting) ?will be fine?! She completely misled me. Dr. Zeichner had even said Dory was ?critical? 3 weeks prior b/c she was rail thin, not retaining food, etc.. During the next 3 weeks, we paid Dr. $3000 to treat and do tests on Dory. 13) My cat?s condition ultimately remained poor and then declined w/o her anti-vomit injection and hydration by Dr. Zeichner. 14) By the 3rd day, Dory died in Huntington Village Animal Hospital and had to deal with a shameful steroid shot by Denise Zeichner. 15) Dr. Zeichner said my cat had suffered brain stroke(s) which had nothing to do with no food (and vomiting) for 2 days! But I researched that cats can suffer extracranial seizures due to vomiting, dehydration which creates too much sodium in blood. These were symptoms Dory had which Dr. Zeichner refused to treat in the final 2 days. Dr. Z never took a sodium blood test that morning to confirm whether Dory suffered this type of seizure. 16) Dr. Zeichner never discussed humanely euthanizing my ailing cat at any point in time with me. So wrong. 17) Instead, she misled and manipulated me in the end to hold out care for my cat until she…Dr. Zeichner could see Dory 2 days later when it was too late. Unacceptable. Dr. Zeichner had a sign in lobby offering 10{3344b0667057c3429c0fe8b2592001634b3c8960c8b8c2cadde9f0637e37ff2a} off a visit in exchange for a 5 Star review. This is an unfair practice, there should never be an incentive given for a favorable review.
