Kind attentive staff that provide excellent care
Dr Woodruff is an absolute delight. All the vet techs are as well.
I have taken all of my dogs here since I moved to the area in 2017. Everyone is compassionate, understanding, and caring, especially in the difficult times. I trust them 100% with my dogs. I recommend them every chance I get!
We have been going to Carrboro Vet for many years. The front desk has never been particularly friendly. A couple of days ago, our dog was in great distress – of the dying sort. We called them, thinking of them as our doctor. The front desk told us, in no uncertain terms and with no kindness, that they were fully booked that day and there was no way they could find time for us. Go to an urgent care, they said. Just like that. They couldn’t have cared less about us, our pet, or the situation we were in. We had no idea what to do. We had relied on them for care. It felt very stressful to have to think about finding an urgent care, wondering if they would take care of our dog, etc, in a moment of great stress. I have no idea if 15 minutes of their time would have made a difference but our dog died that day.
If you want a place that will see you at their convenience, keep going to them. If you want a vet that will be there when you really need them, or at least treat you with warmth if they can’t help, find a different place with different receptionists.
