I rushed my dog "Asher" to OSVH April 25 2023 because he was vomiting continuously for 8hrs. The Front Desk to the Vet Techs and the Doctors all treated my dog and myself with the utmost care our combined fear and anxiety. Dr.Sue spoke to me in a calming and respectful way that only helped to ease my fear. She kept in regular contact with me at home for the three days my boy had to be there.
Her generosity and good spirits and professionalism, got me through this horrible time and in the end Asher and I will have many more years â¤ï¸ 🤲 â¤ï¸
They found a mass on my dogs heart and scheduled him for a ultrasound. But they couldn’t schedule him until over a month. The worst part is that my dogs goes in for the ultrasound and they did it wrong! They decided to get a ultrasound of his abdominal instead of his heart. So now we don’t know when they can fit us in next when my poor dog needs medical attention! Horrible place would not recommend to bring your animals there.
Update 5/16/2023: The owner responded and yes after the mistake was realized a appointment was made for the following week, even though as I stated above they couldn’t fit my dog in until a month out for the first appointment. However, clearly they have taken no accountability, a simple sorry goes a long way. Instead they have blamed my family, even though when the appointment was made it was specified that my dog needed a ultrasound of the heart and when we called back to make sure everything was all set and to ensure they got all the information from the primary vet they stated everything was ready for my dog. And even IF it was not specified, I do not understand why a medical center would automatically assume something instead of confirming it.
This was our first visit to OSVS. Our 14-15 yo fur baby had difficulty walking and we obviously thought the worst but it turned out okay. We went during an extremely busy time so we spent a few hours in the waiting room which is to be expected. The receptionist were exceptional. They kept us aware and informed. In hindsight I wish I got their names to give a proper shout out. Dr Medeiros was a pleasure and explained the suspected diagnosis clearly and in “plain English.” We would highly recommend this Vet clinic in an emergency and we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again if needed.
They basically saved 2 of my rats lives. Definitely recommend for exotics, they are knowledgeable and very caring. I’ve always had the sweetest feedback!
