Im a 13 year customer with Banfeild and I?m so disappointed that I don?t ever want to go back. This business is good for vaccinations and check ups. They are also constantly changing doctors so good luck trying to stay with one. When it comes to surgery?s go elsewhere. I have an old girl that needed some blood blisters removed. When I took her in, the doctor didn?t want to talk to me because she felt sick so she sent her assistant back and fourth to relay messages. I was advised that I would have to get X-rays to see if my pup could halve the anesthesia. Then the doc sent her assistant to come and tell me that they had something irregular show up and needed to do a sonogram. Welp the assistant came out to pull me into a room to finally speak with the doc. She pretty much said ?we can?t do the surgery because she has a mass on her spleen and she?s old? you have two options to think about. Put your dog down or I can give you pain meds and just let her live out her days. Devestating news, however my dog was still full of life and I could not take that as a final answer. After nickel and diming me for $300 and not even checking or switching her bandages I was left with a decision to have her put to sleep a couple of days later. I decided to get a second opinion and go to an actual animal hospital. Guess what?! They said she was a good candidate for surgery and did not need to be put down. Not only did they remove her blood blisters they also performed a splenectomy. Dr. Waltzer at East El Paso Animal hospital saved my best friend by giving me several options (euthanasia not being one of them) My old girl is recovering fast and has an extra pep in her step. Thank god I listened to my gut and didn?t give up on her like Banfield did. Not to mention the procedure for everything was cheaper than it would have cost to have ONLY the blisters reomoved at Banfeild. What the heck am I paying $45 a month for?
