I would not recommend going here. I brought my dog and pup in to get a checkup. The pup was not latching wasn’t sure if the moms milk was bad. I advise this to them. They did an x-ray on my dog without my consent and charged me for it. I wouldn’t be so upset if they asked me before they did it. Also they didn’t even provide me any proof of the x-ray. For all I know they just added on an additional charge.

The animal hospital was extremly busy this weekend and failed to care fir my cat- they ignored her and took care of other animals- i called and they said she was well and when my sister went in 45 minutes later, the cat was dese, no phone calk no notice.

I took my English bulldog in for an emergency for a total of 12 hrs I was charged 1,500. My dog was admitted roughly around 11pm. I only got 1 update at 3am. After that i hadn’t heard back after they advised they would get in contact with me after the 12hours were complete. I had called again for an update at 9am then at 12pm. Their response both times were "The dr is busy with another emergency they’ll call you soon". I understand emergencies happen but an update would have been nice. She got released the following day in the afternoon however she relapsed just an hour after being discharged. For a full 12 hours all they gave her was an IV, benadryl and a mild horse tranquilizer. I ended up taking my fur baby to the East Animal 24 hour hospital on Joe Battle. I am very disappointed I had high hopes for this clinic on montana/airway. God forbid your fur babies have an emergency i highly recommend Far East Animal Hospital. They were so attentive and a bit more afforable. God bless.

Update: Due to their lack of care and attention my dog ended up passing away. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE.

The staff is very friendly and compassionate. The price is a bit high which is understandable for an emergency room. Only complaint is when it comes to getting updates you have to be on top of them or fall through the cracks. Seeing how busy they are it’s understandable but not ideal.

We initially brought our dog here almost 2 months ago when my dog’s oxygen levels fell dangerously low. They kept him for a few nights for oxygen therapy and ran a few test. He was diagnosed with severe pulmonary hypertension and stage B1 heart disease.

2 weeks ago we brought him in again to boost up his oxygen after he had thrown up and fainted. They remembered him when greeting us.

Yesterday, we had to make the difficult decision to put our fur baby Angel to sleep. They were very understanding and gave us plenty of time and space to say our goodbyes. Normally our dog was scared of vets, but here he seemed very calm and comfortable after the initial car ride there. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in those final hours with my baby.

Thank you to all the staff!

My wife and I brought our Chihuahua to the El Paso Emergency Center on Friday, 12 May 2023, to find out why she was not doing so well. I was told by the doctor on shift that my dog had Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) and that they would need to keep her overnight for treatment and observation.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the facility was clean and well-maintained so we felt comfortable leaving her overnight. Although we believe the doctors and staff were doing everything they could, there were times when it became frustrating. Our little girl ended up staying mulitple days and nights, which was not entirely unexpected, but the facility got extremely busy over the weekend, and we had to wait longer than we expected to see our little girl. It was sometimes difficult to get information, and there seemed to be confusion among the staff at times. I am not sure why the West Side Urgent Care Facility isn’t open 24/7 or at least 24 hours on the weekend. I think it would help significantly by reducing the amount of animals being seen at this one facility.

It was also frustrating to feel like we were doing business transactions rather than just getting the personalized care we needed. At the end of the day, my wife and I paid for every treatment option available, but our little girl was unable to recover. Things just did not go the way we hoped, no matter what they tried, and we had to eventually euthanize her. We are absolutely heartbroken by the loss of our little girl. Our dog was truly our best friend, and we are so devastated that she died.
