**Update: Spoke with Sarah (practice manager) who was extremely professional and helpful. Sarah took accountability for some of the confusions and explained others charges/issues. We were mistaken and we were called with results although the call was marked as spam – this has been remedied. Overall, pleased with the response to our concerns and the effort to remedy for future visits.

First visit for my dog was amazing with Dr. Moerbe, very pleased. The second visit was horrendous. My partner took my husky in for vaccines. We had just recently gone in for annual/testing so this was JUST for vaccines. Should have been an easy visit since we had just gone for an exam which is why I didn’t feel concerned about sending my partner to complete the visit. However, they completed another annual exam, fecal testing, etc. which had JUST been completed a few weeks prior. (I was explicit when I made the appointment that this was JUST for vaccines following our annual visit – this was clearly disregarded.) Ended up paying close to $400 for what was supposed to be a vaccine visit. (Costs were not discussed with my partner during the visit which is also an issue.)
At the same visit , my partner took his cat who has had continuous issues with anxiety and spraying. He left feeling completely dismissed. We’ve made multiple visits and we are at the point where we’d like to try medication to remedy but the vet was not open to the idea. (Although we’ve tried EVERYTHING to help before considering medication. Including visiting Acres North three times prior for the same issue.) Not to mention we haven’t gotten any results from the tests done despite 1) paying for them and 2) them telling us the results would be next day.
Again, first visit was wonderful. Costs were discussed, Vet was VERY thorough and understanding. Really listened to us. But the second visit which in total was over $700 seemed like a cash grab to redo exams and have our complaints dismissed.
I called the day after the visit and requested to speak to either the vet or office manager to discuss the charges and complaints but I have not received the call back – although I was told to anticipate a call that same afternoon.
Acres North is always very professional and better yet they care and treat you like family ,our babies look forward to their visits with them.
