Please go someone where else if you really care about the health of your fur baby I took my dog here last week due to some unexpected health issues he was dying on me and all Dr. KAITLYN GUIDRY could worry about was MONEY!! I understand hospital vet bills are pricey but they do NOT AT ALL work with you they wanted me to pay 5k upfront to start and would be another 5K the next day I don’t even make that in a month. Instead of being detailed as to what was really going on with my fur baby or what they suspected or the changes on him recuperating i was only told was that his symptoms were alarming and this is what’s needing to be done? They did nothing but put a catheter on him paid $300 I found another 24 hour vet in Katy Blue pearl hospital with reasonable prices & I told the tech at sugarland that I would take my dog else where she told KAITLYN GUIDY AND ALL KAITLYN WAS WORRIED ABOUT WAS WHO THE OTHER DR & LOCATION WERE. you can see it in Her face she was bothered at the fact we found elsewhere to go not only did she have NO SYMPATHY OR COMPASSION TO OUR PAIN OR WHAT WE WERE GOING THRU not once did she show any type of kindness THAT so called VET treated my dog as just another patient of the day or maybe she did not feel like working that night but thankfully I found an amazing Dr Ying at blue pearl Who explained everything to me even gave my dog oxygen at NO CHARGE, he told me my dog was anemic with auto immune issues that his chances of surviving even with multiple blood transfusions were very slim. He informed me so much about my dogs situation and showed so much compassion towards my feelings I knew I made a great decision taking him out of Sugarland veterinary specialist hospital although the front desk reception was kind it’s unfortunate of the horrible DR KAITLYN GUIDRY they had on duty that night. I asked Dr ying at blue pearl hospital please be honest with me will my dog make it till tomorrow and he told me no he’s currently on his way his condition is severe no matter how many blood transfusions it can take multiple and he told me of course that would be much more money every single time plus hospital stay but is not a guaranteed he will make it even after that. That when I knew my best decision was to sadly euthanize my sweet boy since he could not breath properly without the help of the oxygen and his organs were shutting down. I did not want my dog to suffer any longer although I’m heart broken of losing my sweet fur baby. DR KAITLYN GUIDRY knew my dog would not make it and still had the audacity to pressure us and make us feel bad about not affording to pay 5K-10K she would of taken our money & my dog still would have not made it. My family experience with her was so unpleasant, I would NOT recommend her at all. The least she could have said to maybe give me a different perceptive of her character would of been “ I’m sorry your going thru this” or whatever the hell SYMPATHETIC at least that lady is in the wrong career field. I honestly feel sorry for her. Someone like that clearly has personal issues of there own in there life and unfortunately bring it to there workplace. But I DO recommend BLUE PEARL 24 VET HOSPITAL in Katy my experience was 10x better then sugarland!!

Do not take your pet to this place! All they care about is money! My sweet cat was taken to this pet hospital . They charged me over $700 for tests. They’ll mislead you and are not honest. After many hours waiting, they gave me antibiotics to give her. There was no consultation or communication about what was wrong other than an infection. There was no indication from the vet that she was in serious condition I left thinking she would get better. When I got her home, she was worse off. I called and the assistant was rude and defensive. The vet wound not even talk to me about her condition. My cat died that night and I blame this place. They’re thoughtless money hungry careless people!!

I can’t say enough good things about SLVS. Their fast actions and compassion literally saved my fur baby, Nugget. He was in so much pain and not an easy patient, and I’m sure I Sas not an easy fur baby mama, but they took such care in treating him immediately and putting me at ease as much as possible in this situation. Dr. Guidry truly cares and loves what she does and it shows! They explained every step of the way and made sure I understood everything before proceeding with anything. I’m furever grateful to Dr. Guidry and the entire staff for helping me and my Nugget. He is 100% better now and has a nice long life ahead of him. Thank you for everything! Love, Nugget the orange singing kitty and his mama:)

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was horrible, my cat was very sick, but when I dropped him off, he was able to walk around, drink water, and control where he went to the restroom. I went to check on him the next day, and he was unconscious as if in a coma, couldn’t walk, couldn’t hold his bladder, his skin had become excoriated, and he was on the verge of death. I had to tell them I was taking him out immediately, they left the room, took forever to come back, while we were waiting for what they told us was discharge paperwork, I asked the nurse for comfort care medication for him to go home on, she said she would go ask the doctor, she came back with two injections, and gave one, I asked what was it and she said it was a B12 shot, I said what is the other shot? She said it was vitamin K, I asked her why she was giving this to him when he was clearly unresponsive and would not respond well anyway to further care, and she said, “because this is what the doctor ordered.” And then they never sent comfort care medication, so my cat suffered the whole night. These people don’t know what they’re doing, and they don’t care about suffering pets. It was all about the money. I brought him the next morning to his primary vet, who immediately told me he was dying of cancer and we had to put him to sleep, but Dr Rhue tried to say he needed to be tested for immune mediated diseases. Absolutely ridiculous, and wasted the little time I had left with him. IF YOUR BABY IS SICK, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE.
