The rating isn’t to do with the staff at this location, it’s focused on a terrible policy, which caused them to lose business from multiple customers. I made an honest mistake a forgot to bring some paperwork with me that needed to be signed. The day after the appointment I contacted them to ask if I could come in to have the paper signed. I was told by the staff that it would cost somewhere between $30-50 to have the vet sign the paper. It would have MAYBE taken 2 minutes of the vets time to sign the paper. That’s it. Instead they decided to die on the hill of wanting to charge me, even though I had just been seen on 05/10/23. This has to be the worst policy I’ve ever heard of. Rather than ever using this location again, I will be taking my business to my old vet, which is not within a convenient distance. The fact that their tone did not change until I told them I would be willing to take my business elsewhere is telling. I used my old vet for 5 years and never had a problem like this. I’ve never even had an interaction with any business where they would demand you pay (x) amount of money to have something signed if it wasn’t day of. I asked the staff if I would’ve been charged the same fee if I had the paper with me the day of the appointment, to which the staff either a.) did not want to answer the question or b.) did not have an answer to the question because my question was not answered.
I am *not* interested in ever using this location again, even if they do offer to sign the papers without charging to do that laborious task. Change your policy.
Otherwise, the actual office visit was fine and all of the staff did their job.
I used to love this place. It is really horrible now. You must pre-pay before they will see you. Then they offer you a discount if you pay in cash. But you can’t pay in cash because you had to prepay. You will also be spammed with phone calls and emails, no matter how many times you unsubscribe and ask them to please stop calling.
It was great that I could get a next day appointment driving in from salt lake because every vet I tried in salt lake was booked out 3 or 4 weeks. I don’t have pet insurance. Wish I did.
I called over a dozen or more places.
But I feel like I was rushed out of there because they were closing.
I feel like every time the vet said what he could do for my dog he shot it down not offering me any hope at all to find out why my dog was limping. He had no visible signs of injury but I felt very disappointed and rushed because they were closing. It was a Friday and I guess they close early on Friday. He said i would have to come back for the x-rays.
I still don’t know why my dog is limping. He offered x-rays but said it was 200 plus extra to put asleep while the x-rays were done. But offered no hope that he would be able to find anything wrong with my mojo if he did do x-rays.
I still paid 135.00 came home with pain meds and he got his nails trimmed.
What a disappointment. My dog is still limping and I don’t know why.
I guess its a normal thing for a dog to limp and not know why. I made another appointment with another vet here in salt lake maybe he will be healed by the time the vet can see him in salt lake.
This place will rip you off. I would not recommend to my worst enemy.
