As I pet I brought in for service became over-sedated and died, it is hard to like this place.

In some fairness, tho, the dog WAS over 12 years old.

We only have good things to say about VCA SouthPaws after our first emergency visit, which happened outside of our normal veterinarian’s hours. Our cat became unresponsive after a dental procedure 36 hours previously (at another vet), and we rushed her in at 6 AM. We called on our way, and they took in our cat immediately. It turns out our cat had developed sepsis, and Dr. Smolski saved our cat’s life. Dr. Ortolani and Dr. McGee continued her care, along with techs Arielle and Katie, until we could take her home about 48 hours later. We received multiple calls a day with updates, and the staff encouraged us to visit her during her stay, which was a huge bonus. They also provided advice and reassurance by phone during her first week recovering at home. Emergency vet care is not cheap, but SouthPaws provided an hour by hour price breakdown of her care, fully justifying the cost. While I hope we never have to return to SouthPaws for emergency care, we would not hesitate to bring our cats back here and highly recommend their services. We’re so thankful to them for saving our cat’s life.

We had to take our 9 month old Yorkie Louie in on Saturday night as he had eaten something he shouldn?t have. We were greeted by the sweetest nurse that our puppy went to with no issues. He usually gets very happier when he is around someone he doesn?t know. That immediately made me feel comfortable leaving him. Once he was assessed by Dr Lazaro she gave us great details as to what steps needed to be taken in order to figure how to move forward. No amount of money would have mattered as long as my boy was being taken care of. The genuine care and love that our guy received from the second we got there to the time we left was nothing other than exceptional. I felt very informed and cared for as well as our puppy. Would recommend in cases of an emergency to bring your animals here. Thank you all for being so caring!!! Great job!! Louie is a happy guy and thankful as well?

I can?t thank the team at SothPaws enough for their incredible care of our 4 year old kitty, Queso. He had a major health scare last week, which was thought to be lymphoma, but ultimately diagnosed as FIP. The team fast tracked an ultrasound, biopsy, and internal medicine consultation for us. We so appreciated the follow up call from our radiologist on their day off to explain the pathology results. SouthPaws has gone above and beyond during this time of concern for our fur baby and we couldn?t be more grateful. ??
