Prompt attention upon arrival due to there triage policy. The facility itself is very outdated and uncomfortable. Make
sure you advocate for your pet and your 4 legged friend will receive adequate care

This pet hospital is a waste of your time if you are looking for effective treatment of your pet. My puppy was given a seizure medication for pain meanwhile his only pain can from scratching himself to the point that he was bleeding. Which is why I took him there in the first place. If you go there Google the meds that they give you first. Then Dr. Gunther advised for me to take my pup to a dermatologist which I agree with because of his constant scratching and she proceeds to add that they have a dermatologist and the closest one outside of them is Richmond as if I wouldn?t travel for my dogs well being. Those two things showed me she was trying to keep the cash flow in for the company. Meanwhile the dermatologist in Richmond had a sooner appointment slot for him. In addition to this my pup was taken to his pcp who ran test and was able to give a more detailed description of his bacterial infection including genus and species while she did the bare minimum just to give antibiotics in addition to his pcp gave him a skin test. Which I?m sure she could have done considering his pcp is a smaller facility without any specialists so in relation to their facility size and specialties they should have the accessibility to give my pup a skin test rather than just giving me maybe fixes along with trial and error solutions. I wasn?t please with Dr. Gunther?s lack of thoroughness with the treatment of my pup. So if you decided to go here make sure you Google your meds first and have some idea of what is going on with your pet and ways to alleviate it so you can demand certain tests to be run to help your puppy. I will not come back here again it was a waste of my time and money and I don?t like wasting money especially since I waited for 5 hours in the parking lot for inadequate medical assessment and testing for my dog. It feels like Dr. Gunther did a rush job.

Only a few emergency vets in this area and they’re equally busy. You will be seen by priority (understandable). Not good for situations where your vet is closed for the weekend but your pet really should be seen before Monday. Expect to wait in the parking lot 5-8 hours if it?s not critical. Also, bad experience with one of the receptionist. ?

I would like to give a very big ?Thank You,? to this Emergency After Hours Care Hospital for their care and compassion in response to a very rapid onset of Urinary issues with my Chihuahua!

Their receptionist in the front office could not been better and very open to answering all my questions. Also, each of the Vet Technicians (Taylor and Italia) was wonderful with my baby and rapid in their response. (This business was in overload, just like: Bay Beach Veterinary and The Cove.) Actually, Bay Beach and the Cove was not taking anymore animals in and telling people to stay at home!!!

Bay Beach was very supportive on the telephone and had me download the new ?Vetster App,? and advised me; this is what all the veterinarians in the area were going to today. Their is a shortage in Veterinarians, to care for our pets. I waited online and paid for a Telemedicine visit at 3am in the morning and ?NO Veterinary,? ever showed up! But, the Good News is: they are very reputable and refunded all of my money! ( They lady I spoke with was: Erica)

I was so glad to see, ?Dr. Reed ? at Peninsula Animal Referral Center on Sunday, March 26th, I did not know what to do! I truly, appreciate everything, this team did for me and my baby! Their intervention was on target!

I followed all instructions and on Monday morning got my Baby?s urine to my Veterinarian: Dr. Russo at Edinburgh Animal Hospital! The front office staff was immediately on what had happened over the weekend and Dr. Russo, called me within less than 2-hours for updates and with a plan. A Ultrasound was scheduled and all things turned out GREAT!??

I will always, be grateful to Peninsula Animal Referral Center for their care, compassion, and intervention. They were able to get my baby quiet and relaxed. Please, remember them if you can?t get in to a local emergency area! They were wonderful!??

Blessing to each of you and I am so grateful??
    C Herron

this place was the only place to help my cat with breathing issues.
we were a little skeptical about taking him here because of the bad reviews but i think this place deserves a little bit more credit. we?ve taken our cat to several (4) different places about his breathing issues. this place is the only one that actually did something and helped. he was diagnosed with asthma. he was given a prescription inhaler as well as two types of injections to open his airways and a steroid pill. thank you to sarah woodley who helped us find the cause of our cats breathing issue! couldn?t be happier with the service they provided. they actually care and don?t just want your money!
