    Incredible compassion for animals

The most self-entitled and rude clinic I have ever been too. Scheduled several surgeries, check-ups and doctors appointments with them. I went to all of them except 1. Which I could not make it to because for one of them, I was in the E.R. They told me they would never have me as a customer again, and not only that but they were rude on the phone and hung up on me. They do not care about your animals, they do not care if you have emergencies or a life outside of them. They will greet you with no understanding, because all they care about is MONEY. I have absolutely no respect for this place, the owner, or the doctors. Figure out your priorities.

Love Dr Bruce and his team! I bring my cat here. My whole family brings their animals here! Very caring and helpful vet, has saved us many times.

I went to see Dr.Bruce at Crossroads Vet twice in the past four years for my backyard laying chickens that are admittedly more pet than farm animal.

The first time, maybe 1.5/2 years ago for a hen who had abruptly stopped laying after two years of daily eggs. He couldn’t tell us why that had occurred, but he did spend an ungodly amount of time trying to convince me I was "undeniably confused" about the true age of my newest laying hens we had raised from day olds during covid as they "couldn’t possibly be laying yet". The way he directed the clearly new, young female vet tech in the room on what to do next with "Well, aren’t you going to __?" three times in our ten minutes together in the room got under my skin. I swore to never go back.

Until two years pass and our chickens get attacked by a raccoon. We are desperate. Dr.Bruce quotes a surgery we can’t afford, and we have to go the happy trails route. It was a sad choice. The vet tech takes Lucille to the back. Her squaking and fighting off death rings out through the whole office as the receptionist asks if I want a copy of the $240 receipt. The sounds of her squaking have haunted me for days– her screeches an unwanted, intrusive thought.

What I trust were humane experiences for my birds were not the same for me. While this office may host an experienced avian specialist, they have bounds to go in their people skills. Hard to say if this is a Dr.Bruce concern or a whole office concern.
